One of the most iconic achievements of Martin Scorsese’s and Robert De Niro’s partnership, Taxi Driver follows Vietnam vet Travis Bickle, who desperately wants to clean the streets of a crime-infested New York City. Despite there being very little action, we witness the gruesome underworld of New York from the perspective of a lonely, obsessive, and frantic insomniac. Scorsese’s filmmaking and character development are on point, resulting in a film that enthralls all from beginning to end.
