Pirate movies are a rare sight to see, considered by many to be box office poison. Yet that did not stop this little flick from becoming not just the most successful pirate movie ever made, but Disney’s most successful live-action film series of all time. Johnny Depp stars as the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow, with Keira Knightley and Orlando Bloom, as the classy cutthroats Elizabeth Swan and Will Turner. The ocean can be a wild place and The Pirates of the Caribbean is among the last few great adventure movies.
