The Fantastic Four have been a staple of pop culture for decades. With such a long history, any franchise or idea will become stale. Over time, the Fantastic Four became stagnant. Writers were not sure what to do with them other than fight rehashed villains and show up for the crossover events like Civil War. The family that started Marvel Comics needed to start again, and Jonathan Hickman was the one to do it. Hickman’s run started small but slowly grew into something bigger. The family explored more than ever before and encountered every ally and enemy of their past. All of their adventures contributed to building toward one of the most groundbreaking and beloved crossover events in comic book history. Hickman’s run of Fantastic Four is one for the ages.
